And that\u2019s golden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-pick-the-right-keywords\"><strong>#2: Pick the Right Keywords<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The second step is to pick keywords that you can <strong>actually rank for<\/strong>. While this seems an obvious strategy to take, consider one thing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your channel is relatively small (around 1,000 subscribers), you will find it difficult to rank against bigger channels creating the same videos. Those channels usually have more authority than yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, by using TubeBuddy\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tubebuddy.com\/tools#tagexplorer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Keyword Explorer<\/a>, you can quickly identify what keywords will work for YOUR channel. So focus on getting the video in Recommended or Suggested, as well as Search.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To give YouTube every helping hand in suggesting your content, ensure that you are focused on generating a high click-through rate. CTR is the number of people who are shown your video versus the number of people who clicked through to that video.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The higher the CTR, the better that video will perform on the platform. To boost your click-through, the basics you should be doing is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Writing compelling video titles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating engaging video thumbnail images<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testing different thumbnail and title combinations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Picking the best keywords for YOUR channel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Focusing on video engagement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-4-a-b-test-your-thumbnails-and-titles\"><strong>#4 A\/B Test Your Thumbnails and Titles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to increase your CTR, TubeBuddy has the perfect set of tools to help you!
